Tales From A Southern Mom had the pleasure of working with Pangea Organics to review two different products. They are an award winning organic skin care company in Colorado. I tried their Egyptian Calendula and Blood Orange facial cleanser for dry/sensitive skin, and their Italian Red Mandarin with Rose facial cream for dry/sensitive skin.
They are packaged beautifully in glass bottles with a turn on and off pump to prevent accidental leaking in your bag. The glass insures that no nasty chemical reaction or leaching will taint their organic formula.
When I used the cleanser the first thing I noticed was the wonderful fresh scent of calendula and the silky creaminess of the product. It went on very smoothly and felt luxurious on my skin. As I smoothed it over my face I could feel it moisturizing as well as cleaning and that was a nice change, so many products are harsh with their cleansing line and it makes my skin dry and flaky. One of the reasons I chose this line was because as I have gotten a little older (cough cough) my skin has become drier and much less luminous, it was great to feel like it was cleaning and yet still keeping the skin hydrated and supple.
Next up was the facial cream and it was a nice creamy texture with again a nice feel to it. I was able to use just two pumps for my whole face and one extra for my neck. It absorbed quickly but not so fast as to make me want to over use the product. I loved the scent of this one as well, not exactly the same as the cleanser but along similar notes. The cream can be used day or night and when I put it on at night, I woke up with a great feeling on my skin. My face was not shining nor did it feel greasy, however it did feel hydrated, smooth and soft.
Both of these products I felt performed very well and they smelled pleasant, it was nice to feel good about the ingredients as well as the performance. They are based in Colorado and use fair trade sourcing, organic farming, reusable, recycled, and recyclable products. They also choose to only use plant based ingredients for their products. I feel that Pangaea Organics has a commitment not only to making a good product, but also making sure the product is cruelty free, their farms pay a living wage, and they use no fillers in their products, everything in it has a purpose for your skin and body.
Head on over to Pangea Organics and try something wonderful and luxurious for you, everyone deserves it!
