The founder came across this special fiber and thought that it would make great baby clothes. I agree! The clothing is soft and durable, has a substantial feel in your hand that I really liked.
I learned so much about using soy as a fabric from doing this review. It has the same moisture absorption as cotton but with better transmission of that moisture which makes it more comfortable against your skin.
It also retains warmth very well and is similar compared with wool in that category.
Babysoy chooses to use Non-GMO soybeans so there is no chemical residue on the final product of clothing, and for a baby this is an important factor.
Baby’s skin absorbs 40 times more of the ingredients that come in contact with it than adult skin. It is important that we are mindful of what we use that touches baby skin.
In the future, the company plans to find other different types of sustainable fabrics that will help support the industry.
Babysoy sent me the cutest newborn outfit. Babysoy calls it their convertible bundler, if you snap the bottom snaps one way it is a gown and when you snap it, another it is a one-piece sleeper.
It also has reversible handmitts to prevent baby from scratching themself. This item comes in nine different animal prints and is absolutely adorable. They have been so gracious to also give one away to one of our lucky readers. Enter below to win a bundler for yourself or a friend.
Babysoy is also involved in many organizations that provide for the well being and care of children, including Healthy Child, Healthy World, World Vision, and Half The Sky.
