When you have a year when you are blessed with a beautiful new baby, you want to recognize the first’s for everything they do, from the first outfit they wear all the way to their first birthday.
The first Christmas is one of those things that you want to recognize as a momentous thing. Some have pictures taken, some buy a special star for their tree and cute outfits, for me it was always a Baby’s First Christmas tree ornament.
I have kids from infants to adults and I have every one of their first ornaments, no matter how much I change the theme of the tree or the color scheme, those ornaments are always on my tree and they always will be, it is just a magical and special time to remember. Every year when I get the ornaments outs, I always have to wipe a tear when I see those ornaments, they take me back to a time when they were so small and so innocent, having a new baby celebrating the special holiday season with you makes a magical time even more enchanted.
Reed and Barton sent me the most beautiful Baby’s First Christmas ornament for David, it is delicate and shimmery silver with little blue baby booties, I adore this ornament. I think one of the best things about it, is that this ornament will match anything you decorate your tree with in the future. This ornament Includes a year-marked white satin ribbon for hanging and is handcrafted in America.

November 30, 2014 at 12:03 amI always buy my grandchildren a new ornament each year. One year when my son turned 16, I bought him a whole tree of purple, silver and gold ornaments and lights. He still uses it 10 years later.

November 21, 2014 at 11:25 amI don’t have a single favorite. I have several that are very special to me, a few of them were from my first Christmas with my husband 23 years ago (they are ugly and were super cheap. I don’t even put them on the tree anymore, but keep them and remember that Christmas each year when I get all of my Christmas out)

November 20, 2014 at 9:39 amI do have a several special ornaments. My fav one is a santa riding on the back of a flamingo. It came from Avon. I purchased it when our family moved to the sunshine state and we spent our first Christmas there away from our families.
