Disclosure: Although I received BodyArmor product and compensation for this post all opinions are 100% mine.
The reality is we are learning more and more that the things we are used to putting in our bodies the very things that we have been told for years are good for us are not so good. I remember when sports drinks first came about (yes I am that old).
In the old school thinking all of the sugar, salt and additives were supposed to support the kids that were playing sports, they were supposed to rehydrate them and do it well, now we know those things are just not true.
I was so glad when I was contacted by BODYARMOR to do a review, my boys still play softball several times a week and it seems every week they were drinking that other drink that is supposed to be good for you. BODYARMOR has more electrolytes than the other sports drink, and it contains coconut water, and vitamins and contains NO artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners. BODYARMOR, while being low in sodium it is high in potassium.
I did some research and I learned that BODYARMOR has more electrolytes than the leading sports drink, isn’t that the whole point of rehydrating in the first place to replace the potassium and liquids you have lost?
Dehydration can be a serious issue for kids, it seems that we are always after them to eat right and eat the right things, but I think we need to make sure that they drink right as well. It does not all have to be water, drinks like BODYARMOR are great to include in kids diets so that they get the things they need without all of the junk in other drinks.
Don’t think that the new low and no calorie drinks are any better for you, some of the artificial sweeteners are even worse than the sugar. BODYARMOR has so many flavors available, and as usual nobody in this house agreed on flavors, my oldest loved the fruit punch and the youngest liked the lemon lime. The orange mango in my opinion is the best!
You can learn more about BODYARMOR on their website and even download a coupon there for your purchase of the best sports drink out there. You can connect with them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest as well.
