So, it’s time to get ready for summer! Sigh. I really have a hard time with this. I know that it is very important to take care of my body. I know it is important to keep everything moving well, and as we get older, we need to move even more. These facts do not make it any easier for me to get going.
Because music is a huge part of my life, I want to incorporate music in my workouts. I enjoy listening to Christian music and the workouts on Shazzy Fitness are all set to only Christian music.
All of these things made it just perfect for Tales From A Southern Mom to have the privilege to work with Shazzy Fitness.
They sent me two DVD’s to work out with in my own home. The first thing I noticed was that the people in the video have on conservative clothing that actually covers all the important parts with nothing jiggling out. This was important to me; kids are often around and want to “dance” with me. It was nice to feel comfortable with the kids watching it.
The first DVD is called “In The Beginning” and it is of course a beginner’s work out, the video has a few 10-minute bits and you can do one or all of them. I danced about a half hour, which I will not lie, felt like three hours. Did I mention I did not want to work out and I am out of shape? (smile)
It was a nice dance work out and I am sure after I do it a couple of weeks, I will know the routine. The workout felt inspiring to do, and I knew most of the songs, so it was easy to have a fun time doing it.
The second DVD is called, “A Time To Dance”, I haven’t done the workout yet, but I watched it. This is for more advanced people and it’s probably something I will do in the future after doing the first for a while. Again, the music is upbeat and inspiring, and the people were dressed conservatively. They just moved faster and the moves seemed a little harder to pick up.
What I loved the most was that it felt FUN! It was fun to do, fun to dance and just let go of the stresses of life and simply have FUN. I can do this in my bedroom so my older kids don’t get to laugh at me, and the littlest loves doing it with me. I would highly recommend this to families, and really for anyone who wants to work out to Christian music. Check out their website, I think you will enjoy the information there.
