I was impressed with the list today put out by totalbeauty.com most of the categories included something that you could gather at your local drug stroer. I think that is nice to have things that work well and are easily accessible. Not to mention affordable.
Of course in some of the categories there is still nothing but the high end department store brands, but I think they have their place too. Its rather like having a hamburger from the local burger joint and then having the high end steak at the best steak house in the land. They both will fill you up ut sometimes you want the luxury item.
They rate everything from simple cleansers, and toners all the way to tooth whiteners. They have tested each of the products and lots more to find the ones that work the best according to real life tests. So many times they just ask consumers to vote on products, which only really gives you the favorites of consumers not really the best product for a particular problem or use.
I saw a few of Mary Kay’s products included in the winners list. I have always been a fan of their products. I was happy to see them winning awards along with some of the bigger brands.
I did notice that they included gadgets this year in the awards. It struck me as odd, one does not expect to see that when looking at awards for beauty products. One of those winners was the Clarisonic that has been getting high reviews since in was introduced, it seems to be holding its own. The other gadget was an acne fighter that uses electrical zaps to stop it in its tracks. Interesting.
You can check out the full list here. Beauty Awards, who knows maybe your favorite is already on there or you will find a new product to try.

April 9, 2014 at 2:49 pmBeauty gadgets are so foreign to me, too. I don’t know if I could drop that much money on something that washes my face, but my mom loves her Clairsonic!

April 8, 2014 at 8:52 pmThis list could come in handy. So often with skin care products I waste money on less expensive items, trying to find something that works! I could have saved money by spending a little more on something I know works, lol.
