Back in 2008 Sara Gragnolati was diagnosed with food allergies. Being a self described foodie, she was on the hunt for nutritious, gluten free food that still satisfied her need for flavor and taste. She found that there were few options for breakfast that met her criteria. She decided to change that.
Enter her company Cocomama.  She created a cereal that is made with quinoa which we probably all know is a nutrious grain that is over 5000 years old.

In order to get the favors she loved, she used coconut milk to sweeten the cereal, fresh fruits and other quality ingredients.

Cocomama makes a hot cereal in a ready to eat pouch in 4 different flavors: banana cinnamon, wild blueberry, orange-cranberry and honey-almond. You simple tear the pouches open, heat for 20 seconds, stir and eat. They can also be eaten at room temperature, a perfect healthy on the go option.

The flavors are pretty surprising, honestly I expected something that healthy would taste pretty bad. The blueberry is packed full of flavor from real wild blueberries, and we are not talking about a couple per pouch, the cereal is purple from the amount of blueberries used.

All of their flavors are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, vegetarian and organic. Your kids are going to love the texture of this cereal as it is much creamier than oatmeal, but still has an al dente bite so that it is not mush.

It can be very difficult to find a breakfast option that has protein in it but not a ton of fats. This cereal fits that bill perfectly. Sara decided that consumers who wanted a good tasting cereal that was also gluten and allergy free should have more options than puffed rice and cardboard tasting cereals. She succeeded with this product.

They are also introducing a great crunchy cereal for those that prefer that!  It is Cocomama Crunched Out!  It will come in two great flavors.  When you win you get to try this new cereal as well! All the same benefits in a crunchy yummy cereal!  It is an awesome snack food too! You can enjoy a protein filled tasty healthy, allergy free snack anytime!
