Loving Pets has sent some really neat things for us to review here at Tales From A Southern Mom.
My favorite is the new bowls for my pups! They are made of bamboo and corn starch which makes them totally sustainable and renewable. I believe that we should make as many of the products we use in our daily lives out of sustainable materials as possible.
The bowls are sturdy and do not tip over with my moose of a dog knocking it around all the time, and it is large enough to hold 4 cups of kibble easily.
I am one of those insane dog owners that treats their dogs like babies and cleans and sanitizes their bowls, blankets, toys, and pillows. They are outside and get into everything, and they need to be cleaned up after almost more than the kids sometimes. These bowls easily go into the dishwasher and I have cleaned them with bleach water many times with no fading or break down of materials
They also sent some great treats for my pups as well, the favorite around here was 100% all-natural Pure Buffalo™treats. They dogs just loved them, from the smell to the taste they were not left alone until they were all gone! I liked to give them, as they cleaned the dogs’ teeth and massaged their gums, which Is important for the animals’ dental health.
They did send a GobbleStopper slow feeder for Bella, but she is a big bruiser and of course ripped the thing right out of the bowl. I should have expected that as she is 100 lbs of pure excitement and thinks everything is a toy for her to run around with. The concept is great if you have a smaller dog who has the hoover syndrome of inhaling their food. You can use the suction cup to attach it to any bowl and it makes the dog have to work around it in order to get their food. The best part of this was there was a little tab on it that made it very easy to pull up for cleaning.
They sent Toby and Bella some air puffed crisps treats called Barksters that they enjoyed quite a bit, they were rather like potato chips for dogs. They are made of brown rice, chicken and bran oil, that’s it! I know there was plenty of chicken in them, as the dogs ate them readily and even behaved on a leash for them. I would buy them again and again as they are “light”and only have 12 calories.
