Tales From A Southern Mom received a fantastic pocket diaper from Smart Snugs! They are so wonderful to have sent it to us for our use and review.
One of the very first things I noticed about the diaper was how nice it looked. The majority of the diaper is white with orange accents and snap flaps.
Smart Snugs is a family owned business and is still small. Which means they are small enough to care about the customer and the final product that they send out. Samantha the founder says this about the business, “Our brand mission is offer an affordable and reliable solution to busy families who may not have otherwise considered cloth diapers” As a business they donate a large number or diapers to foundations and charities to help families get other options in diapers, besides disposables. I appreciate this so much, not only is it better for our environment, but also better for families who are trying to make ends meet. Samantha also says that cloth diapers are her passion and she and her husband have two kids in them that are 15 months apart, she knows a few things about what a family needs in a cloth diaper.
They have a one year warranty on their products and that to me, shows that they believe in the quality of their product. they carry pocket diapers, in both bamboo, and microfleece linings, so you have a choice should your baby be sensitive to either fabric. They also carry an AI2, that is so easy and versatile, you can pair the covers with any of their four insert options.
We used the pocket diaper with the six layer insert and these things really absorb well. We used on our toddler during nap time with no leaks at all. Our newborn used this diaper with the charcoal bamboo insert and while he did not leak it was a little big in the waist. I suggest if you are going to use these, when your baby is just born they may not be snug enough. Our bruiser was born at almost 10 pounds, so we did not have too much of an issue. They are one-size and we did not have a leg gap just a little loose around the waist.
I think this would be a great option to make your whole stash up of, they have a lot of options for inserts and boosters and their colors and mixes are smart-looking. You can choose an AI2 or pockets, or even do a mixture depending on your needs and preferences. I liked how soft the fabric was on the outside as well as the inside and I really appreciated that it fit the toddler as well and the newborn. I would recommend these diapers to parents new to cloth diapers and to those who have used all kinds, these are just a good all around great diaper.
Smart Snugs has been so wonderful and is sponsoring a giveaway of one of their diapers for one of our readers. Its simple to enter you just need to do the entries on the form below.
Good Luck!
