Healthy eating is something I take very seriously for kids. i am not talking about never letting them have sugar or dessert, I am talking about the base of their diet being good for them and not letting them have too much of anything that is not good for them. My whole family from my grandmothers on have always fought with their weight and one of the mistakes I made as a young new mother was force my kids to eat, you know one of those clean your plate parents. It was not good, both of my older boys struggle with their weight still, and I believe a lot of that was laid as ground work when they were infants and toddlers.
Now that I have two little grand kids living with me, things have changed so much. I never force them to finish their plate, I always offer both fruits and vegetables more often, I cook more at home, we don’t do straight juice and frankly we may have juice around one or two days a week and even then it is mixed with water.
When Fresh Baby approached me about their products I was so thrilled, they truly believe that kids that start with healthy habits, will keep healthy habits and they have the best stuff for kids and babies to give them a great start. They were so wonderful and sent me many tools to use with our now almost 3-year-old.
We received an apron for her, we both got a foldable water bottle, hers is 10 oz. mine is 16, perfect for diaper bag. We received some great tip cards that showed us how to freeze foods and for how long, some awesome storage bags with portions printed on the side. In addition to all of that there was a cutlery set for her, a place mat, lockable covered divided dish, and two cutting boards, one for fruits and vegetables and one for proteins.
I think that if you allow a child to help you fix meals and have
Fresh Baby is working hard to make sure that parents have these tools, and they are continually making new products that are useful to parents in cooking and selecting fresh healthy foods for their baby and toddler. I was impressed with how brightly colored their products are and how kid friendly all of them were. Making kids feel like they are really part of the meal process from start to finish, their products play a crucial role for kids health.
You can go over to their website and find so much information to help you make good choices, they have great healthy recipes and you can purchase all of their products as well.
Because Fresh Baby feels so strongly about kids health and their eating habits they want to a giveaway for our readers of all of the products that they sent me to review. This is a lot of stuff! I think that our children’s future health lies in our hands today, this prize pack will give you a head start in making good choices.

August 23, 2014 at 10:14 amI cook every day of the week. We never go out to eat. I try to make things that are healthy and from scratch most of the time. But, sometimes I need something quick like a box dinner that I add hamburger too.
