What would be better for the salsa lover in your life than Mrs. Renfro’s Gourmet Salsa under the tree!!
We love salsa in this house. It is one of our go to snacks. I also love to cook with it. I couldn’t wait to try Mrs. Renfro’s.
Mrs. Renfro’s Salsa has been around for about 74 years. It was started in Fort Worth, Tx. The have a vast variety of salsas and sauces.
I was chosen to try the Garlic Salsa, Medium Salsa, Pineapple Salsa, and the Barbecue Sauce. The first thing I tried was the Garlic Salsa. I love anything garlic. This salsa was amazing my whole family loved it. In fact we I didn’t even get a picture of it before it was gone!
Next I tried a recipe with the Mrs. Renfro’s Gourmet Salsa Pineapple. I poured about a half of cup over 4 chicken breasts and baked them. It was so good!! I loved the different flavors the salsa brought out.
I have to admit the Medium Salsa was devoured by my husband. I didn’t even get to try it myself. He assured me that it was awesome and that was the reason there wasn’t any left. I at least was able to get a photo. I learned my lesson the first time.
The Mrs. Renfro’s Barbecue Sauce I used to make my shredded chicken. I place a pound of boneless chicken breasts in a crock pot. I poured the about half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken. I cooked on low for 6-8 hours. After it cooks shred the chicken and add more barbecue sauce.
I have to tell you this barbecue sauce was awesome. It really was good on my chicken. My family loved it too. My oldest daughter said that is how I need to make it from now on.
