The breakfast I enjoy most is scrambled eggs, with some chopped fresh vegetables and maybe some cheese. This covers my protein needs very well. The problem comes in when I don’t get to have any toast with it, or even a tortilla, as one tortilla has about 23 grams of carbs. I always feel like I am missing the best part of breakfast. Thanks to Sara Lee sponsoring this post I am excited to share with you how I get to have my breakfast and toast too!
Sara Lee® Delightful Bread allows me to keep my diabetic numbers on track without having to sacrifice the satisfaction and taste of a full breakfast.
Then I found a delightful way to start my day with Sara Lee® Delightful bread, they have a 100 % Multi Grain bread that is great tasting, and when I looked it up for diabetics, I found this from Daily Diabetic
Diabetes Daily QUOTE
- Sara Lee® 45 Calories & Delightful 100% Multi-Grain: it is the lowest in calories and probably the most similar to your average piece of traditional toast. 2 slices will give you 18 total grams of carbohydrate and 5 grams of fiber, leaving you with 13 grams total. (There are several variations on this within Sara Lee, like standard white bread, if you prefer!)
Those are pretty good numbers when it comes to bread, and the good news is it tastes so good too, it feels like real bread, you know the full fat, full calorie full carb stuff that I have not had in quite a while. It even stands up to peanut butter if I want to have a sandwich.
The Sara Lee® Multigrain bread gives you the taste and texture you love, but with only 45 calories per full-size slice (serving size two slices 90 calories. I don’t think anybody would be able to tell that it is a “light” bread. Look at all of the benefits of this bread.
- NO ARTIFICIAL COLORS OR FLAVORS
- 0G TRANS FAT
- GOOD SOURCE OF FIBER
- NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP
- HEART HEALTHY*

December 16, 2014 at 2:21 amI didn’t know about this bread and since my kids eat bread so often, this may be a good choice for after school when they like it with nutella on it.
