Pish Posh Baby asked me to do a review of this really cute Skip Hop Hug and Hide Activity Owl. It is a really neat toy for babies over six months.
For some reason babies find the shape and coloring of an owl to be very inviting to them, I have seen more and more owls in baby gear lately.
The owl itself is made well, and it is a plump little guy, his wings open and he has a little pouch in front where his baby owl will be found hiding out! The baby is an exact miniature version of the big guy and it is held by a short string so that it is not lost, the baby owl is a squeaker as well. The string is short enough that you would not have to worry about it wrapping around a child’s head.
On one of his wings you will find an unbreakable mirror so that you can play peek a boo with that cute baby in your life, when the baby opens the wing it will entice them to continue to do and see themselves. it squeaks, rattles and crinkles with Linen and textured details.
That crinkly noise that this makes just cracks David up, he thinks it’s the best thing ever to feel it in his hand and to hear the noise as he bites and plays with it. Speaking of biting he absolutely loves the two teething toys that are attached to this owl The wooden ring seems to be a favorite to hold onto while the bright green leaf that he can get into his mouth is his favorite to chew on by far.
When he was just starting to crawl, we found if we put the owl at one end of his blanket he would use all of his energy to get to it and go on the attack of all of the parts.
This is one of those toys that would be perfect to give at a shower and the baby is just going to love it from a very young age. At Pish Posh Baby you can find this as well as many other infant toys to keep them busy and always learning.
