Nami Naturals Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint Oil – Mentha Piperita from Nami Naturals is such a great product.  Peppermint Oil – Mentha Piperita in its purest form has so many uses around the house and in your medicine cabinet.

It can be used for getting rid of ants to curing a stomach ache, the important part is the purity and grade of the oils.

Even though we think peppermint has a great smell bugs, pest and other crawlie things don’t seem to share our enthusiasm.  It is a safe, non-toxic way to get rid of those pesky things without resorting to smelly sprays and toxic traps and baits.  I have ants every time it gets hot here and I soaked a cotton ball with the Nami Naturals Peppermint Oil and set it in the window sill.  The ants have not come this year yet.  In Southern California we already have hot weather and all of the bugs to go with it, this could not have come at a better time.

Using Peppermint Essential Oil To Get Rid of Ants

To get rid of the ants I put about 5 drops of Peppermint Oil – Mentha Piperita
on a cotton ball and then wiped it around the edge of the fireplace hearth where it looked like they were coming in.  I then left the cotton ball near that area too, to help keep the smell of peppermint around.

Yeah, the room smelled a  bit peppermint-y.  But it was actually quite pleasant and was a HUGE improvement over the smell of a commercial ant killer spray.

So how did it work?  Pretty darn awesome.  I didn’t see any ants until a few days later when I spotted just a couple random ones hanging about.  So I repeated the Peppermint Oil – Mentha Piperita
treatment again and that seemed to do the trick.   So far, I’m VERY HAPPY with this new method and I’m willing to repeat it every few days if that’s what works.

If you have spider webs in your house, you can put about 5-6 drops of this oil into a spray bottle of water and spray the corners and baseboard of your rooms and the spiders will stay gone!  No spiders, no webs! Anything that saves me time in cleaning and smells good, with no toxic properties is something I always want in my house.

Help your tummy feel better. I rubbed one drop on my husband stomach and he felt better almost instantly.

We used it in our diffuser at night to get the air moving and help with congestion.  We are all suffering a bit with the allergies coming this spring. It worked well. 

Most people know about the effect of peppermint on joints, this oil worked as well as some of the cold to hot products for my knee.  

We added two drops to a 12 ounce bottle of shampoo and it worked fairly well in getting rid of dandruff and it made the shampoo cool on our scalps.
