Hair Care for Great Looking Hair! 05/25

I remember when I was young and I loved when people asked about my hair, and to be honest it has been years since anyone asked anything about my hair.

With my ripe old age now in my 40’s perimenopause has hit my wonderful locks and is making my hair fall out, look thin, most of my curl is gone and I have zero volume.  When I was in the 7th grade I had a teacher call me Lion’s mane, because my hair was so thick and curly and just full, sadly that is not the way it is anymore.

I was asked my a representative of Monat hair care products to try out their products and review and post my thoughts about them.  I would love to tell you that from the first time I used it I saw a complete difference in my hair, but as you may know hair products just do not work that way.

I used it the first time and was impressed with the texture and scent of the product, the Revive shampoo lathered well, and when I rinsed my hair felt clean and refreshed, not squeaky clean, because as many of us have learned that is not always a great sign.
I followed with the Revitalize conditioner and that was the part I was the most nervous about.  Every conditioner I have tried has made my hair look greasy within hours of using it. This did not do that to my hair.  I am not one to wash my hair daily so even after 24 hours when I did not have that greasy look I was so thrilled. 

The conditioner had a thick and creamy texture that smoothed through my hair easily and covered it well without using a ton of it.  When rinsed it felt fresh, clean and tangle free.

I got out of the shower, and combed through my hair, and the first thing that shocked me was that I was not pulling out handfuls of hair anymore, I was used to losing hair and every time I combed through it after a shower, there would be clumps in my hands.

In addition to the shampoo and conditioner I was sent the Replenish Masque, this stuff is awesome.  It puts the whole system together and my hair felt luxurious and so full of life.  The masque texture was more whipped like and a little went a long way.  On the days that I used the masque I really could tell that my hair was extra pampered!
