Many people may not be aware of the fact that Gorton’s has come out with a new line of frozen fish selections called Smart and Crunchy. These are fabulous products and the fish is wild-caught!

These new products are in my opinion better than the original fish sticks that we have always eaten from Gorton’s, my family whole heartily agreed with this.

I am like many moms, guilty of being too busy at times and even though I am trying to eat at home more and cook from scratch more, I seem to always find at least one night a week where I just don’t have the time to cook. When I decide it’s a Gorton’s night, they always cheer!

They  have quite a few new recipes on their website that perfectly complement these new fish sticks and fish filets.  Each serving of the fish sticks only has 180 calories with 5 grams of total fat.  You will find that they have 9 grams of protein and 110mg of EPA and DHA Omega-3 fatty acids per serving, these are great nutrients to have for growing kids.  These are not the same old fish sticks you remember as a kid.

The outer coating on the Alaskan Pollock is crunchy and firm, there was no sponginess or soft spots on it, from just baking it for 22 minutes it was amazing.  The fish was soft nice and flaky inside and really did not taste or feel like they came from a frozen product.  The quality of the new Smart and Crunchy line is apparent from the first bite and knowing they are better for you is such a great bonus.

The kids loved them and even the baby liked the fish sticks, for me that is a win in my book!  Anytime I can get the littles around here to eat something healthy its one last picky eater battle.  You can find the new Smart and Crunchy fish selections in your local grocery store and you can even find coupons on their website.  You can also win a great prize pack of an Adult Apron, a Child’s Apron, a Stuffed Fishstick Mascot toy, and 2 coupons for free Smart and Crunchy Fish.  Enter below and good luck all!
