This year was a memorable birthday…. I had to go out of state to take care of my Mom after a major surgery, and it was on my Birthday when I had to get on a plane and leave. I stayed a month so I missed Christmas at home too… had to make sure my Mom would be ok before I left her. I came home and my Husband really spoiled me for my Birthday and Christmas since I didn’t get to spend them with me…. it was really sweet and memorable.

My most memorable birthday was actually born out of a horrible year. I hated my job, was stressed and hated the thought of getting older. But because I love road trips and love the outdoors, i was surprised with a GPS and a kayak. It was not so much the gifts themselves but the idea that my loved one took time to ensure I felt special on my day and helped me realize that as long as I continued doing things I enjoy and thriving on life’s adventures, i could get through the rough spots.

My most memorable birthday party was when I was in 6th grade. A bunch of us girls went roller skating. My birthday is 3 days before Christmas so it wasn’t very exciting. Most of the time, my relatives ignored it or included it with Christmas.

My most memorable birthday was when I was 15 I had a huge slumber party, there was about twenty of us girls. All of us were laying around in our sleeping bags on the floor telling ghost stories, My dog was in the basement after everyone was pitching in the conversation about ghosts my dog decided to jump on the basement door it made a loud thud. Every single one of us ended up on the front lawn some still in there sleeping bags including my mom all because the dog scared us.

To me it was such a honor to celebrate Life with him! If he were still with us, God rest his Soul, we’d be celebrating my Birthday and Father’s Day together again this year!
