On of the things that immediately drew me to the Smart Weigh Kitchen Scale was its looks. It looks so sleek that I want it out on my counter, instead of in the cabinet, which, of course, makes it so much easier to use, and not just forget about it.
So many chefs and great cooks say that volumetric measurements (cups, tablespoons, teaspoons) are the wrong way to measure large amounts of anything that is not a liquid. I know that for me, sometimes I would avoid a recipe that had weights instead of measurements because it just seemed too complicated, now with this great scale I can do those recipes with ease, and great accuracy.
Kitchen scales are accurate more consistently, what exactly does it mean when it says 1/4 of parsley? Packed parsley? Loose, Parsley? Chopped or whole? I know that this can be the difference between a fabulous meal and one that is barely edible. Other things that are often listed like this are a medium onion, three stalks of celery, juice from one orange. These things are just begging you to mess up a recipe. When you measure you lose that variable.
Baking. If you bake you need to weigh your ingredients, it’s just that simple. I have been told many times that if you are going to bake, you need to know that it is a science, much less of an art than cooking. Flours of different kinds can be measured almost 2 ounces or more off when you weigh instead of measure in a cup. Those things matter when you want that perfect cake or dessert.
Fewer Dishes to do. When you are baking or cooking you need to clean up after, and that is always my least favorite part. When you use this scale you can use a paper plate to weigh your ingredients and not have all of those measuring cups and spoons to wash. That is a win in my book. With the Smart Weigh scale, you also can put one dish on it push the TARE button and then it takes away the weight of the container you are putting it in, very simple.
Scales Do Math. Ok, not really math but, they do conversions if you are converting grams to pounds you can save time figuring since this digital scale can be easily switch measurement modes from metric to imperial. Perfect for me! Also makes it much easier for doubling recipes.
Help you lose weight. Ok, so what does that mean by half a cup of cooked pasta in the diet plan? It’s easy to know that you are getting your full portion with this scale put it in ounces and measure out 4 ounces done! You get your full portion, nothing more and more important when you are trying to lose weight nothing less. It is also much easier to measure when it says 2 ounces of pasta UNCOOKED! Easy measure cook, eat!
So easy to use. This Smart Weigh Scale is so easy to use. Simply choose your measurement (ounces, pounds, grams) and put a bowl or plate on the scale, hit the TARE button to remove the weight of it and you are ready to start. The large digital readout makes it so easy to see the weight.
I love using my new Smart Weigh Scale and I am sure you will love to use one as well. You can also use it to weigh mail to make sure your postage is correct.
This is a very accurate sleek looking scale that is easy to clean and is small enough to leave on the counter all the time, for easy access. Smart Weigh Kitchen Scale is one of the best you can get.
