So many people are learning that they have Celiac Disease or even a gluten intolerance, which is not full blown celiac, but it does produce some of the same symptoms of the disease.
It has been a long time coming for a great tasting protein bar that is gluten free. Introducing the NoGii bar (no-jee). They sent me samples of everything that they have in their line to review and I have to tell you, out of all of the protein bars I have tried, these are the best tasting. Even my picky eater husband loved them.
My son and I are both diabetic and because of that we try to eat high protein, the baby has numerous intolerances and therefore we try to limit gluten and soy. The NoGii bars fit the bill for everyone.
One of the products they sent that surprised me was the protein powder. It is a WHEY & QUINOA protein powder which is very unique. We got the vanilla bean and it made it so easy to mix into smoothies and shakes. 2 scoops of powder contain 20 grams of protein that is huge! Quinoa [Pronounced: KEEN-wah] is an amino-acid rich seed that contains more protein than any other grain and is higher in unsaturated fats and lower in carbohydrates. Many are saying this is a super food, what an easy way to incorporate it into our diets.
NoGii is great tasting, gluten-free, non-GMO, do not contain any trans-fat or hydrogenated oils, nor do they contain high fructose corn syrup.
NoGii Products were created to provide an NO GLUTEN alternative for active lifestyles. Whether you are on-the-go, at play or in the gym, NoGii bars are formulated to give you and your family good, clean, certified gluten-free nutritional food choices. NoGii Kids Bar and all flavors of the NoGii Paleo Bars are casein and dairy free as well. When you have a child that needs no dairy it is so important for them to have something that is good tasting and good for them. One of the things that really impressed me was the zero-tolerance philosophy for gluten cross-contamination. When they say its gluten free you can rest assured that they are just that!
