Sometimes kids don’t know what to do with themselves, they see so many people around them that seem to know exactly what they are doing, and they wonder what are they good at.
Ellie the Elephant, finds her true calling in the most unexpected way, she needs to do something to make sure she can save her zoo, in doing so she finds her hidden talent.
This book is beautiful, the illustrations are captivating to kids and they really allow kids to tell what is happening in the story. Mike Wu, really does a phenomenal job at illustrating and telling this great story.
It is put together well and the cast of characters are just adorable. Ellie is a nice story and it is one that we are asked to read over and over, all of the animals and the great artwork holds the kids attention and they always want me to read it at least twice through.
Finding one’s talent is hard when you are an adult and yet Mike Wu finds a way through the story of Ellie how to teach children and an elephant how to do it, a lesson we all need to learn. The book really is a delight to read and with its great message one I love for the kids to ask for.
It’s amazing that Ellie finds her talent and that it may save the zoo they are in. So sweet and just a great little book that belongs in every child’s library. This makes a perfect holiday gift and one that parents and children will delight in throughout the year. You can purchase your copies here!
