Destini is 4 and we have not taken her to the local mountains to see the snow yet, and here in Orange County it just does not snow, so we were so excited to take her to discover all of the wonderful things at the Winter Wonderfest at the Discover Cube OC.
Do you want to build a snowman?
It was amazing to me how awesome this set up was. They had tubing ramps and sledding ramps and a 10 x 10 foot area of free snow play where the kids could just build a snowman, make snow balls, and scoop the snow into molds to make penguins! Discovery Cube did not miss a thing in this exhibit!
I will tell you that when you go here you want to be prepared, your kids will need waterproof gloves, some closed toe shoes, and a warm jacket. We also brought a second pair of socks and shoes to switch into once we got back to the car. The Winter Wonderfest opens to the public on Dec. 19th and runs through Jan 3rd which is perfect for most winter breaks from school!
And off she goes on her first sled ride!
The snow is an added attraction at the Discover Cube OC and it is $5.oo per person to play all day! In addition to the Winter Wonderfest events include Science of the Gingerbread which is also going on now and they will be having a NOON Year’s Eve party for kids, December 30th and 31st. They are going to have a giant balloon drop, count down, hats, horns, ginger ale toasts and a “Let’s Get Moving” Healthy Living Dance Party.
You can buy tickets online here at the ticket page and be ready to go when you get there or buy tickets when you arrive at the box office. You can even buy a membership as a gift online and give to your family or to friends for Christmas! The family membership is Valid at OC & LA campuses for 1 or 2 named adults, plus up to 4 named children living in the same household (age 17 and under). If you are looking to take your kids to a fun and exciting event that is unique and includes learning and hands on adventures, I highly suggest the Winter Wonderfest at Discovery Cube OC. Destini had a blast and we even got to join in on the adventure! Happy Holidays!
