Well the time has come when people are starting to post pictures of the temperatures in their cars, in Southern California that usually means that summer and the heat is on!
Every year I try to find something that is refreshing yet light and cool and perfect for summer drinks, and this year I was lucky enough to partner with Moms Meet to be able to review this wonderful Agua Fresca from Santa Cruz. They have three flavors, pomegranate, grapefruit, and mango passionfruit. I think my favorite is pomegranate but, mango runs a close second.
The Agua Fresca is organic so you do not ever have to worry about pesticides herbicides and fertilizer, what a relief with so many problems now linked with the effects of these chemicals. The fruit juice, the sugar even the natural flavorings are organic.
Now, I decided to chill this well in my fridge and still pour it over ice, because I love my drinks very cold. I got one swallow and that was about it. My family then decided to pass my glass around and finish it off for me! We all really enjoyed it and the jar was gone in a flash.
I also mixed it with some diet lemon-lime soda and loved that as well, this trick I saved until I was home alone and had a better chance of enjoying it without losing it to the rest of them around here.
I love this product, I love how smooth it is, I love that it is full of flavor but not overwhelming in any way, and best of all I love how incredibly refreshing it is in this hot weather. If you are looking for a cool and refreshing drink I think you are going to love the Agua Fresca from Santa Cruz. It is also the perfect addition to drink recipes for the hot weather!
