I remember being young and wanting so badly to be a grown up! I also remember my parents fighting that every step of the way and frankly now that I am an adult I want to be young again. Kids want to have new experiences and enjoy things that they see their parents enjoying. Make up is one of the things that tweens especially want to emulate, however there were not many options for this age of kid, there was always play make up which is horrible for their skin, or grown up make up which is, frankly just too much.
I am excited to introduce you to the solution to this with the Petite’n Pretty makeup line. I have a 9 year old who loves everything girly, she loves glitter, sparkles, fancy clothes, dresses and fashion. She has always been the type of kid that wanted to wear high heels and dresses, make up for her was a necessary thing for every day and explaining to her that “grown up” make up is not appropriate was always a bummer.
Petite’n Pretty entered our lives just at that right time, she was at the age where learning to wear make up was a high interest, and she has been watching mom for years, she was over the moon to try the new make up just for her! She has since spent hours doing her make up over and over again. It really is awesome to watch.
The line is a good for your skin make up that is nut free, cruelty free, paraben free, phthalate free, and proven safe. It sparks the imagination of the next generation and the products are made specifically for petite sized features. Clear mascara and brow gel, lets the practice begin with something that is not going to be a mess, and we all know when it comes to make up practice makes perfect. The cheek and eye shades are sheer with just the right amount of sparkly and shine, and the lip glosses are neutral shades that don’t make kids look “made up”.
I am a firm believer in allow kids to explore and practice things that they may use at a later time, this make up for us is not something for every day school, but it could easily be appropriate for different ages. Wearing it to a family special occasion, or to church is super fun and appropriate for a 9 year old. The old adage is girls just wanna have fun and I am loving the Petite’n Pretty line of make up to do just that. I have a feeling she may be getting a special Valentines Gift from this line as well.
I think one of my favorite parts of this whole thing is teaching her to take off her make up and take care of her skin, I think this lesson is more important than any of the others. Lets face it make up is only to enhance an already beautiful complexion, and that comes from great skin care!
