As a parent, you have a lot of choices to make, from what kind of diapers, which wipes, baby food or baby led weaning, and of course if breastfeeding is not possible which formula is best.
All of my babies and my grand babies have used Enfamil family of formulas, they always have what we have needed, even with feeding issues.
My middle son had to have Nutramigen due to stomach upset issues, my granddaughter used Enfamil AR as she had a huge issue with spitting up and the formula helped her keep her feedings down. Delilah started out on an Amino Acid formula and was switched to Enfamil’s Gentlease as she has a much more sensitive stomach.
I love that Enfamil takes the formulas special properties and moves them right into the transition of toddler formulas. Nutramigen, Gentelease, and regular Enfamil all have their own toddler transition formulas.
I have heard that many feel that toddler formulas are not necessary once babies reach the one year mark, but I feel pretty strongly that not all babies are ready to move to cow’s milk directly after being on formula the first year. Breastfeeding is encouraged long after one year because of the special nutrition it offers toddlers, and I think that a toddler formula can bridge some of the gaps between cow’s milk and the needs of a toddler.
Infants who have special feeding issues, do not suddenly recover from those issues just because their first birthday has passed, it is important to continue to give them what your doctor recommends, and to only change when it is suggested by your baby’s pediatrician.
Using Enfamil formula’s have always worked for us and we have always gotten it from Diapers.com so that it is delivered right to the door and here when we need it. By entering below you can win a $50 gift certificate to try out how wonderful that service is.
If you are having a baby or have a baby now, I hope you will talk to your doctor about trying out the many formulations of Enfamil for your baby and be able to continue it for them into the toddler days!
