We here at Tales From A Southern Mom were privileged to work with Sjaaks Chocolates and they sent us some great samples to review.  They are amazing.  This small family owned company puts out an amazing product that is fair trade, using sustainable agriculture with organic, non-GMO ingredients.  The result is a clean tasting pure chocolate flavor.  Everything that I tried, gave a good mouth feel as well as a wonderful flavor of the various ingredients used.

One of the things I was surprised to learn is that they have a lacto-vegetarian operation, which simply means no eggs or gelatin in their factory EVER! It is important to them as when they started the company they were already vegetarians, keep their product that way was only the right thing to do for them.

I am sitting here about 10 minutes after eating my last chocolate sample and the taste lingering is smooth and rich, no bitterness no aftertaste and nothing to take away from the treat of having great chocolate.  Chocolate connoisseurs are very particular in what they love and what they buy, Sjaaks, has gone to great lengths to make sure that their product is standing up to a very high standard.  They have many varieties available, from bars, bite size pieces, fruit added, nuts and chews, and finally yet importantly drinking chocolate.  They also offer corporate gifts, seasonal chocolates and a line of vegan chocolates.

This is a great fair trade, organic, non-GMO chocolate that I think most people will love, however it may be the kind of chocolate you want to hide for yourself in those spots the kids can’t reach.  Go over to their website here and checkout all of the delisiciousness they have to offer.

I clicked on the link to their website, simply because I was curious and also because my family loves chocolate. Boy, was I in for a surprise! I could not get over the enormous amount of variety! It was also a thrill for me that they have choices in milk chocolate, which is surprisingly scarce in high-end chocolate. Thanks!

I am a dark chocolate fan. It wasn’t until recently that I started caring what was in the products I ate. So I am really thankful for your review and introducing me to Sjaaks Organic Fair Trade Chocolate. I also appreciated the short history of how Sjaaks will not allow eggs or gelatin in their factory. That is something worth knowing.
