Tales From A Southern Mom was pleased to be able to work with SwaddleDesigns and review their muslin swaddling blankets.
When we got the blankets, they were very nicely packaged. It made the package so nice to open. It felt like a luxury gift for baby.
The blankets themselves come four to a package and I chose the neutral colors. Three were printed, two with silver stars and one with polka dots, and one was a pure white blanket. They each have a label printed with exact directions for a method that they call the 123Swaddle.
I loved that it was printed right on the blanket; you do not have to try to watch a video or wrestle with a book while you wrap the baby.
The blankets are a very generous 46 x 46 inches. They are quite soft when they arrive, but they get softer & softer with every wash. I love how light, airy and breathable that they are.
Every blanket also has the new label that shows you how to join SwaddleClub to receive easy access to free white noise from The Happiest Baby, baby care videos, and safe sleep information.
The club also offers tips and tricks for parents to help calm and comfort their baby. It is a very neat application, especially for new parents, which shows some tried and true methods for calming a fussy baby when nothing seems to work.
It can be a real help during those rough moments.
SwaddleDesigns use only premium, pure cotton yarns for durability. The cotton muslin is also pre-washed so its snuggly soft straight out of the package.
It is important to use swaddle blankets that are specifically made for swaddling. First of all, you want to make sure that the baby does not get too hot, and that baby isn’t wrapped too tight. There is new evidence suggests that wrapping a baby too tight may be damaging to the hips, so you want to keep that in mind. But many moms can tell you that its impossible to get a nice “just right” swaddle with a blanket that is too small, too stiff, or made with fabric that’s too flimsy.
SwaddleDesigns blankets are the perfect size and softness to easily execute the “just right” swaddle. For those folks who never learned the art of swaddling, those who are ready do go “pro” with fancier wraps, or who just need to brush up their basic baby burrito, they give you access to join the Swaddleclub, to learn the perfect ways to use swaddling to calm and soothe your baby.
SwaddleDesigns was also kind enough to sponsor a giveaway for our readers. You can win your very own four pack of muslin swaddles, worth approximately $50.00,just by entering our giveaway below. Good Luck!
