Tales From A Southern Mom was privileged to work with BaminOz in reviewing their awesome Porta-Chair.

Every parent I know has the same issues with going out to eat; when they are young, the highchairs in restaurants are a pain. Highchairs in restaurants are dirty, not regularly cleaned or sanitized, are not very sturdy, and often have broken straps. They also get in the way of servers and other people walking in the restaurant. This Porta-Chair is a great solution to the issues of taking little ones out to eat with you, or even going to family or friends houses for parties and dinners.

You can attach this to just about any chair you have available as long as it is sturdy. It is unique in that it fits wide and tall chairs just as well. The shoulder straps are fully adjustable on the 5-point safety harness, which gives maximum support for baby.

I have taken it with me to test it out a few places and I really like it. Our little one is 2 and this makes her feel more like a “big girl” when we are mobile, that is an important thing to a 2 yr old. I liked how the seating area was padded a little bit and not too wide for her to be comfortable. When packing for our outings, adding it to the diaper bag was not an issue because it was compact enough to not take up too much room, and it is very lightweight.

This chair is suitable from about 5 months, once baby is a stable sitter, until about 2 and ½ and that is really more about how your child fits in the chair. If you cannot get a good secure fit, it may be time for them to be in just a booster seat. When you are done eating or playing, you simple unstrap it, neatly fold it up using the cord, and throw it back in your bag. I personally took a grocery sack and threw it in there, as I did not want any transfer of food debris into the diaper bag.

I absolutely love that this chair is durable and I’m able to just throw it in the washer, pull it out and hang it on a hanger to dry and its ready for next time.

The chair is independently safety tested and meets leading international safety standards and guidelines. The goal for BambinOz is they want to change the way you feel about traveling with young children. I think this product does that. At least it did for me, and when the new baby comes I think this is going to get even more use.

BambinOz has been very kind and is sponsoring a giveaway for our readers to win one of their very own Porta-Chairs. Enter below and Good Luck!

This would let us be able to go out to restaurants again because my 19 month old is not for sitting in a high chair for long periods of time.

I am a single mother, and I live in a town about 100 miles from my closest family member, so, needless to say, I dint have a babysitter readily available. In turn, I have to travel everywhere with my baby.
