Tales From a Southern Mom was excited to work with a wonderful company, Wonderful Bambino Diapers.
Wonderful Bambino is a collection of products dedicated to serve moms and babies and they take that commitment seriously. Everything they sell is tested by real mom before it’s ever offered.
They sent us a bamboo fitted diaper that is pretty remarkable.
The diaper itself is made of 100 % viscose bamboo, and I washed it four times prior to using it. I did notice when I dried them they dried much faster than my other fitteds.
They use bamboo for many reasons including: Bamboo is absorbent, odorless, anti microbial, antibacterial, hypoallergenic, breathablesustainable, and does not require pesticides or chemicals to grow
The diapers are one size for babies 12-40 pounds. Our test subject is 2 and half years old and 30 pounds.
The diaper has a nice soft feel and was more like a luxury towel feeling but much softer. The snaps are the same color as the stitching a nice bright red. I was impressed with how well it fit.
The actual diaper was trim and hugged her body well, and the fit was really rather incredible.
We have used a lot of fitteds over the course of diapering and this diaper really fit better than most.
We went cover less but if you wanted this diaper to be waterproof you would need a cover that is waterproof. The diaper would work well under wool or fleece as well.
The first test to the diaper was nap time, you gotta go big when you are testing a diaper. I was impressed.
It did not leak and it did not feel wet against her skin when I took it off of her and that was a bonus. I also did not use any kind of extra insert with it. The do suggest that you use them with an insert with babies 26-40 pounds.
I would use these diapers regularly, and it am pretty happy to have this one in my stash. I think these would work great as an overnight solution with an insert.
Check out their selection at their website here. One other thing I was exceptionally impressed with was the warranty. If you don’t like this diaper for any reason you can return it within 60 days for a full refund. If you find any defects you can get a refund up for a full year. That is awesome. If you try them I doubt you would send them back, they are pretty impressive.
