The diaper of course is awesome looking, in its smart red, white and blue stars design. It felt soft and pliable and did not have the rough plastic feeling that some diapers of lesser quality have.
The diaper comes with two inserts that are microfiber. The inner layer of the diaper is polyester micro-fleece and super soft against baby’s bum. It also has an extra set of snaps to keep the diaper trim and fitting well. I found it easy to rinse off and that it did not absorb the stain into the inner layer.
I have a skinny tall 2 and ½ year old that runs, jumps, and moves constantly, (anyone have one this age that doesn’t?), and the diaper moved with her and did not gap or bunch in any one spot. The insert did not shift around and I had no problems with snaps coming unsnapped.
The outer stayed dry and feeling nice and supple and seemed to hold its color well even after washing. I loved the stars design and it was perfect for Memorial Day. We will be wearing it a lot over the next few months I am sure, with patriotic holidays coming.
So, the next thing I received from them was an organic cotton diaper insert. I cannot express how much I loved this insert. It can be used to create an AI2 system, by putting it inside a diaper cover, I personally laid it inside the diaper with the microfiber insert in the pocket. It was so soft and fluffy feeling, but not bulky and felt nice against my skin.
You can fold them in different ways for different sized kids and that is the true advantage of this insert. If you used two of these, it would easily work as an overnight diaper.
This insert was ultra absorbant and I pushed it to the limit. I set her up with one of these folded in half on top of the pocket, and put the microfiber inside the pocket. We went to Target. As we all know, you are never in and out of Target. We were gone a couple of hours and then stopped to get an ice cream. We came home and I changed her, she was not leaking anywhere! No compression leaks, no problems at all. Her skin was not soaking wet, albeit it was not bone dry, but not water logged at all. I love this insert! It washes well and dries super fast. I want one for every diaper we own!
Tiny Tush has such a great selection of prints and solids, and of different diapers and inserts, I think they could easily fulfill all of your diaper needs.
I especially appreciate that these diapers are made in the USA, that is so important for our economy here. You can keep in contact with Tiny Tush by going to their Facebook or Twitter.
They are giving away the star spangled diaper to one lucky reader to have in time for the 4th of July!
Enter below and good luck!
