Backyard Ocean contacted Tales From A Southern Mom to do a review on one of the many pools they have to offer.  I actually have had the pool here for a while but as many of you know a new baby  just joined our family and putting a pool together was rather daunting.pool1

We finally got the pool up after our almost three-year old begged us until we broke down.  It took us about an hour total and the results were amazing.  One of the reasons I did not want a pool in the yard was because it always gets dirty feels slimy on the bottom or you have to constantly clean it.

Backyard Ocean solved that problem. Their easy set up pool has a pump with it that works great, and for safety comes with a GFI plug on it.  The actual size of the pool is 9 x 26 and that works so perfectly for us.  Two adults and a toddler and we still have room to move around.  This is not a pool that wastes water, and you have to dump and fill every day you use it. It is an above ground pool that you set up and use for the season and then take it down, to use again next year.

This makes much more sense to me as we are able to not waste water and our yard is not constantly sloshed with water.  We are in Southern California and a lot of families opted to not use their home pools this year due to the drought and having to fill them up every day.  I was so happy that we were able to use ours.pool2

My husband got an air pump and pumped up the single ring at the top and then spread out the bottom and sides well, attached the pump and then filled it up. Perfect! It was so simple and works so nicely, I cannot imagine anything they could have done to make it easier and more efficient.  My husband did go to the local pool supply and buy a little thing that hold chlorine tabs so that it is treated and not growing weird things, we also bought two tarps one for the bottom to set the pool on and one for the top to cover it and keep animals and dirt out.

This is definitely the way we are going from now on and you may want to do the same thing at your home to help keep cool and not waste water with constant refilling.

I am so grateful that Backyard Ocean sent us the pool for this year, it did change my mind on what kind of pool to use for are family. pool3

I like how roomy this pool is. Gramma and Grampa can cool off with the grandson!
