Royal Fluff Diapers have some of the cutest prints on cloth diapers that I have seen.  The diapers are very trim and fit well on baby chunk here.  We were really happy with it.

Royal Fluff says this about the Blue Plaid diaper that they sent me to review:cache_276_260__100_czu12244367_main_tm1407457225

Baby’s bum deserves nothing short of the royal treatment. Eco-friendly, money saving and ridiculously darling, this reusable pocket diaper caters to that cute behind. Every petite prince and princess will love its fleecy soft interior and ultra-comfortable trim fit. But better yet, this diaper is 100% waterproof and breathable, too! It’s equipped with durable snaps that offer several sizing options. Simply slip the included insert into the pocket or rest it inside the diaper and when it becomes soiled, toss both the insert and diaper in the wash.

.

Performance Review:♥♥♥♥♥ –   I think this is a great pocket diaper that serves most needs really well.  For nights or naps, you will need to put an extra insert or perhaps a smalll prefold.

Ease Of Use: ♥♥♥♥♥ – This is pretty straight forward, if you are accustomed to using pockets  The diaper stuffs easily, I know that sounds odd, but there aer some pocket diapers that are hard to stuff right, this one was easy, there was room for my hand to move around and to keep the diaper insert flat.

Customization & Fit: – ♥♥♥♥ As a pocket diaper there are few things you can do to customize it, aside from using different inserts.  The fit is nice.  We do have a chunky baby so, I can say with confidence that it fits well on larger babies.  I do think it will fit most babies well.  It is pretty trim and fit well under his jeans, and with cloth diapers that is an accomplishment.

Leak Protection: – ♥♥♥♥♥ – The first time I used this diaper it did leak on me, but then I found that I had to tighten a little more around the legs and no leaks after that.  The PUL fabric is nice and soft, no plastic feel to it at all.

Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥♥ – After you change your baby, pull the inserts out of the pocket and toss everything into your cloth diaper pail.  Dump the soiled inserts and liners in there (poop “residue” and all), and run a cold rinse cycle. After the cold rinse, add detergent (about 1/2 the usual amount of a detergent without fabric softeners, bleach or brighteners). Wash warm, follow with an extra rinse. Dry medium, never on high.

Quality & Durability: ♥♥♥♥♥ – These diapers are nice.  The quality is top notch and the durability appears very good.  I loved that they were easy to stuff and use, and you could also lay the insert on top and use as an AI2 system.

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ – Well this is where this diaper shines! This diaper line has really great prints and the hardest part is trying to decide which ones you want.  They also have a good assortment of solids that do include a white and a black.

In Conclusion: ♥♥♥♥♥-  This is a great diaper, it has wonderful looks and incredible prints.  stuffing is easy and the fit is good.  It is trim enough to wear under baby jeans and that is a good thing.  You could easily make these into your whole stash and have plenty of variety.  You will need to get some extra inserts to add to the night time and nap time diapers.

I’m currently pregnant, so we’ve not actually started with cloth yet. I’m getting a mix of pockets and AIOs to start.

We use quite a few pocket diapers (although we’ve yet to try Royal Fluff), they tend to work out best for babysitters and are dad’s favorite, they are just as easy (or easier) to put on than an AIO style diaper but allow you to customize the absorbancy for different situations/ages. They do require a bit more prep time to get them stuffed (and for that reason I tend to use mostly AI2 style diapers while at home).

I’ve never used pocket diapers before. We’re just getting started building up our stash and I mostly have pre-folds and covers, but pocket diapers seem like a nice alternative to AIO’s for traveling and babysitters. I would like to try some!
