Did you know that February is National Children’s Dental Health Month? The American Dental Association sponsors the event to raise awareness about how important it is for kids to learn good oral hygiene, so that it becomes part of their daily routine and the National Childrens Dental Heatlh Month event has reached millions of people in communities throughout the country.

This year Xlear is working with the American Dental Association on how important it is to include healthy snacks and better oral care habits into their daily routine.

There are snack options available from Xlear that are sweet but are sugar-free and are made with xilytol.  The options are really rather remarkable. They have candy, gums, mints and even jams and jellies to help with keeping teeth healthy and strong while still enjoying sweet things.

Xilytol, the sweetener used in these products actually keeps bacteria from sticking to teeth and forming plaque!  Some studies have even gone so far as proven that when using xylitol products along with good oral hygiene you can reduce the number of cavities by as much as 80 percent.  That is a huge boost to just brushing alone.

If you have little ones, I am sure you have seen and tried those toothpaste that are safe to swallow and it seems that they are more of a mess than they are worth.  It is just messy.  Xlear has Kid’s Spry Tooth GEl and it is a lot less messy and also has the great benefits of including xylitol.  They banana shaped toothbrush is just adorable and fits into a child’s hand and mouth easily, it is actually curved like a banana to make it easier for them.

Xlear sent us some candies and a toothbrush and toothpaste set for the kids for our review and we really enjoyed the product.  The candies themselves are a little small and little ones should be watched when eating them, but they have a great fruity flavor that I liked.

The reality is if we don’t teach our kids to do something they are probably not going to learn it, if they see us doing it, they are going to want to do it.  If you make it fun they will want to do it more.  Let’s all celebrate National Childrens Dental Health Month and take our kids in for check ups, try some of these great xylitol products and get them brushing and flossing.
