Castile soap has long been used by many because of the purity and sensitive nature of the soap. Unlike most commercial soaps, castile soap does not have sodium lauryl sulfate as an ingredient, it instead relies on saponins in the oils that are released from the reaction of lye and oil. Unlike commercial soaps that rely on SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) to create a soapy lather, castile soap’s bubbles come from saponins in the oils that are released from the reaction of lye and oil.
When you make the effort the properties of castile soap can actually help speed the skin’s natural healing. It can make scars, stretch marks and even wrinkles become much less noticeable over time.
We have found that many anti bacterial soaps and even soaps not marketed as such have triclosan in them. Triclosan is actually registered as a pesticide! I do not want a pesticide on my hands every time I wash them, and I most certainly do not want it on my face or my children’s hands. They are still doing studies on triclosan and they have found that it can lead to birth defects, decreased fertility and a weakened immune system. Castile Soap does not have any of those risks.
One of my favorite things about this particular Lavender – Castile Soap Bar is the high infusion of lavender and olive oil. I wash my skin with it before bed and it is a soothing last step at the end of a stress filled day.
Lavender has its own wonderful anti inflammatory, and calming properties that just adds to this great soap.
The soap is so pretty at the sink and I loved using it, my granddaughter thought it smelled better than her watermelon soap so she used it every time at my sink. The Lavender – Castile Soap Bar made my skin feel smooth, clean and not dried out. The mixture of organic oils make sure of that. It feels healing on my skin as if it is a soothing balm to my skin.
I have noticed that the lines around my eyes are less noticeable and they are less dry and therefore not as prominent. Here are the ingredients: Natural Lavender Extracts, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Glycerine, Deionized Water, Sodium Hydrate. This is one case where you can’t ask for much less.
It’s a wonderful Lavender – Castile Soap Bar with a great scent, look and feel. I will probably keep this around for a long while. At this time you can order a monthly subscribtion box that runs for $5.00 but you can get this month for .01 with the links in this post.
