AYL StarLight – 300 Lumens Ultra Bright LED Lantern
I know that most people use lanterns to go camping with or to take with them to the beach and the like, me, I like to have one around in case I have a power outage or if I have to go outside to get the dog in or something.
While it may not be the traditional use, I have found this LED lantern by AYL to be one of the brightest ones that I have ever used, it has a lumen output of 300, and is guaranteed to last over 100,000 hours. That is a long time, 6 full days of power should you need it. You also have a low, high and flashing mode on the lantern, making it very versatile.
The AYL Starlight 330 comes with a removable convex cap that can be removed for more focused lighting such as the need to read papers or do homework. There is a hook at well on the bottom so that you can set it up in a tent or cabin. I like that it is water tight, and it has a rubber seal on it so that the water does not penetrate.
I know that there are a lot of lanterns out there, and you probably have flashlights in your garage and junk drawer, but this is really the way to go in a power outage. We had to use it for a few hours and it was nice to have the whole room lit up instead of just a beam of light like a flashlight would give.
It also has an LED indicator on it so you can find it in the dark. It uses 3 size D batteries so you can find them easily at any store. Some lanterns take the big square batteries that are not so easy to come across. Its green LED indicator ensures your camp and lantern is always visible and easy to find in the dark
I think everybody should have one of these for their emergency kit, maybe even one to keep in your car. Here in southern Calfornia, we all know that if we have big earthquake we are going to need things like this for a few days time at least. I am so glad we have one. You can find these on Amazon, and they even have a money-back guarantee plus a lifetime warranty.
AYL is also giving us one to giveaway in our Swinging into Summer Blog Hop starting on June 1st.
