I love using cloth diapers, I love that they are eco-friendly and I know a lot of moms and families feel the same way, however there are times when disposable diapers are more convenient. There are also some families that just don’t want to do cloth diapers at all, but want another option that is eco-friendly.
Enter BamBamBoos Disposable Diapers. Thes are a premium, organic, sustainable, and environmentally friendly diapers. These are mainly composed of bamboo.
Bamboo is sustainably propagated and is excellent for preventing run off, and riverbank erosion to help mitigate water pollution. I was amazed to learn that it is the fastest growing woody plant on the planet, it can grow up to two feet in one day, that makes it perfect for harvesting as it is replacing itself quickly.
Bamboo absorbs more carbon dioxide than an equivalent of trees. About an acre and 1/2 of bamboo can absorb over 62 tons of CO2 per year, that is a lot of emissions. Bamboo fiber is not only biodegradable but it is also incredibly absorbent and soft, which makes it perfect for great diapers.
Some interesting facts about bamboo are that it is antibacterial and also requires no fertilizers or pesticides are required to grow it, and bamboo was the only living thing survive the 1945 Hiroshima atomic bombing. Pretty great stuff if you ask me.
When we got these diapers they were wrapped in a paper bag, and I thought it was pretty impressive, you got the impression right away that they were different. These fit well and their sizing is right on. They also were so soft and very absorbent, they were just as good if not better than most national brands I have used, and will even hold up for overnight.
I believe these are a great option for when cloth may not be wanted or when you are looking for something that you don’t have to wash, when you just bring your baby home, travel, daycare, staying with someone who does not use cloth, holidays and maybe even just when you are washing all of your cloth diapers.
