Busy parents love an approach that allows independent practice. Kids love a fun way to learn!
There are so many thing that kids have to learn throughout their lives, but if they do not have a solid foundation of reading well, they will struggle through every subject, that is one of the main reasons, I love this Learn to Read 10 DVD set from Rock N Learn.
Not only do kids learn to read, they learn that it can be fun to read and to learn, it does not always have to be boring and no fun. I love that this whole series is filled with fun songs, and catchy music, with the characters it really helps to build reading skills.
I have seen some sets that are rather difficult to follow and it is apparent that Rock N Learn takes a sequential approach to learning. Once one skill is mastered you can move on to the next and in the end they all build on each other to get you to a successful course end. This also allows you to access your childs skills to see if they are ready to move on to the next DVD or if they need to stay and take a little more time on the skills they are learning.
It is a great set for preschoolers and will give them a head start of skills for when they move into kindergarten and beyond. When my oldest was in school they did not learn to read until they were in first grade or so, now they want kids to have a pretty good handle on it before they get there. It amazes me how quickly they pick it up with this set.
We had no problems picking up sight words and basic reading skills while using this and because the DVD’s only last about a half hour it is not so long that they lose interest. They concentrate on sight words, as we know they are the most common ones found in kids books, and phonics, which helps with reading and spelling.
I think if you are looking for a great way to help your child learn to read, this is it, there is so much content and it is so worth it for them to have the complete set. Rock N Learn has so many programs to help your kids learn, everything from math, science, reading and different languages. Check out the full Rock N Learn website here.
