I was recently asked by The J.M. Smucker Company to create some fun and unique tips for some of their product and I wanted to share with you, let me tell you with the Extreme Heat Warnings we have had over the past week, I was glad it was their fabulous ice cream toppings!
I took off with my husband and Destini to Walmart and we had a great time shopping for all of the different toppings and sauces for our sundaes! One of the first things I noticed was just how many toppings Smuckers offered. They had hot fudge, caramel, strawberry, and pineapple those I expected, what I did not expect was the chocolate pretzel, two different kinds of sugar-free and even a vanilla funfetti topping! They have magic shell toppings that get hard as fast as they touch the ice cream for that dipped coned taste at home.
I think I mentioned it was hot this past week, it was beyond hot, two days it was 106 degrees in our front yard, and the humidity just made it worse, I had kept both of the kids in the house most of the week, they were bored and very tired of frozen juice pops and eating cold sandwiches, I thought, ” what better day to have a sundae fundae!”
As Sunday’s go we are all usually home and just having lazy fun day, building with blocks, coloring maybe some modeling clay so this Sunday was perfect for our sundae fundae! We had bought at WalMart the day before vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, strawberry and caramel sauces and we also got some marshmallows, candies, cookies, nuts, whipped cream and of course some cherries for the top!
We scooped the ice cream and just let everyone pick what they wanted for their sundaes, there were no rules today, we were just going to have a really fun day and a fabulous sundae party.
I have to say I was excited about having a family sundae fundae all day, and it did not disappoint, we even let David have a sundae of his own. I think we will do this again, maybe once a month or so, and just have a no rules time where everyone can get what they want. After all, life is all about memories and ice cream, with this we got to have both!
