King’s Stand is an exclusive private school tucked away in the forest and accessible only by a hidden road. The students all experience some sort of problem ranging from simply being afraid of the changes the future is bringing to family problems that are tearing them apart. Even the headmistress has a secret past with issues that have never been resolved. It is going to take some special qualities to work through their friendships and come out stronger because of everything they deal with together. Do they each have what it takes or will their own weaknesses hold them back?

The author, Alexandra Egi, is a 17-year-old high school senior who aspires to make a difference in the world through her writing. This is her first novel but you would never guess by reading the book. She does a wonderful job bringing the characters to life and pulling you in so that you have to see how the girls resolve their many problems.  Books are so important to life and it is so cool to be able to have those given to you!
