It seems when you have a baby everyone needs to tell you their advice and opinions on what to use and what you should do.
I found that when I am looking for toys for the kids I want to look for specific things and the most important are that they are safe, cute, eco-conscious, and unique. I was lucky to find all of those things.
Finn and Emma have some of the cutest and most useful things for your baby. They sent me a gorgeous hippo wooden teether and an elephant rattle buddy to review for my readers.
The rattle buddy is made with organic cotton yarn and is stuffed just enough with sheep’s wool. It is amazing for cuddling and loving on and being a rattle too, it is quick to be baby’s favorite toy! These are made with eco-friendly inks and dyes in Peru with fair trade. It is all of the things that the baby wants and all of the things that I want, perfect in both worlds.
I am always especially careful when buying for small babies and they tend to carry things everywhere from their beds to the cars, and they always put everything in their mouths. It has to be friendly for all of those things and worry free for me. There are no parts to come loose and choke on and it feels so soft and sweet.
Wooden teething toys are becoming more and more popular as I think most parents are realizing that the plastic soft things are not very good for having in baby’s mouth. The chemicals that are leached out of plastic are only now being realized. Going with an option where you do have to worry about that was key to me.
These wood teething rattles are made from Indian hardwood and are finished with a non-toxic vegetable seed wax finish. I love that they are made in India and are fair trade just as the rattle buddy is. There are no rough parts no chance of splinter and it is so smooth that I don’t have to worry about baby hurting themselves. One of the best parts is that it is hard enough for teething babies to get some relief from the discomfort they feel during the teething stages.
