When I started thinking about what I was going to write about in this post it was a little problematic. I had so many things that I wanted to write about and show you all but, time and life just got in the way.
I worked on this great Swanky Swing Tank Top by Petite Stitchery and when I felt that it was not too holiday celebratory, and then we were invited to a holiday open house and this was the perfect top. 
Where I live the weather never really gets to winter, we get cool and we get some breezy nights, and maybe even in the 50’s at times, but when that happens we all turn on our heaters. ♥ Whenever we get invited to a party or even just a get together it is always on the top of my list to make something I will not be too hot in. This top is just the best for that. I have three that I have already sewn and they get a lot of wear.
I also make sure that I sew with fabrics that fit my climate, a lightweight sweater knit, a rayon spandex, cotton blends and of course a dreamy ITY like this black and white print from Simply by Ti fabrics. It is a great choice for a blouse like this. Very easy to work with and it feels amazing. The drape from this fabric was also nice with the swing pattern.
Paired with a cardigan, I always have the option of taking my sweater off and cooling down, yet still look fashionable and put together. It is important when you are celebrating the holidays to have wardrobe pieces that work in many looks. This blouse also pairs well with black or gray pants or a pencil skirt.
Versatility is key when it comes to being able to go from one event to the next, and I would feel good in this weather I was at a school play or out to dinner with friends.
