Home Remedies to Improve Your Health after Becoming a Mom

Many cultures have been using home remedies for many centuries. It is not sure what makes them effective but these remedies certainly do the trick in solving health problems. You can enjoy eating your food while maintaining your health through the choice of food groups for your diet. Certain foods help in relieving certain health problems. So, to help solve minor health problems, we have compiled a list of remedies that can help you improve your physical health.

Turmeric for pain and inflammation turmeric is considered a holy spice in Indian culture. Turmeric has been in use for various treatments in South Asia. It has many proven medicinal purposes, the most important of which is its pain-relieving properties. Consuming turmeric in any form can help relieve body pains, joint pains etc. 

You can consume ½ tsp of turmeric powder with a glass of milk daily, to benefit most from it. You will feel a noticeable difference in your body pains within a few days.

  1.   Chilli peppers 

Chilli peppers have been in use for homoeopathic practices. The active ingredient in chilli peppers is capsaicin which is responsible for providing relief from pain. If you cannot consume chilli pepper, you can take its active ingredients in the form of tablets.   1.   Ginger 

Ginger has been in use for hundreds of years specifically to cure a cold, flu, sore throat etc. Ginger tea is the standard home remedy for treating cold. Grate some ginger in tea for a stronger effect. But there are other benefits of ginger that go less noticed is its anti-inflammatory properties.

Ginger works great to target inflammation. It blocks certain inflammatory compounds and breaks down existing inflammation antioxidants that interact with acidity in the fluid between joints. 

  1.   Eucalyptus oil 

Eucalyptus oil has a specific component called 1,8-cineole, which helps relieve pain. The component has a morphine-like effect. And if used in aromatherapy, Eucalyptus oil has been proven to relieve body pains. It is also a great option for

Fenugreek seeds are a superfood, which is often used in cooking. But this spice has many medicinal uses as well. It can be used in the form of tea. Fenugreek tea helps with milk production for breastfeeding. New mothers can take fenugreek tea occasionally to improve breast milk production.

  1.   Mint

Depending on the type of mint, there are many benefits related to health. Wintergreen mint is excellent for relieving body pains. Applying a balm or cream containing wintergreen extracts provide a ‘cool burn’ effect of the targeted part. This effect causes numbness and relieves the pain in that particular area. 

Another type of mint is peppermint. It is commonly used in folk medicine to cure different digestive problems such as irritable bowel syndrome. Apart from digestive issues, peppermint oil may help ease headaches, colds and other body aches.
