Stonefire Authentic Flat Breads generously sent me some of their great flat bread products to try. The first product we tried was the pizza. They sent an Italian Thin Crust Pizza with a sauce packet. We decided to make this for lunch one day. We turned on the oven, opened the package spread it with the sauce that was included and added some mozzarella cheese, (ok we added a lot of cheese), we sprinkled a bit of garlic powder and parmesan cheese, and put it in the oven.

While we were waiting our 8-9 minutes for this to be done, we set up our plates with fresh fruit and set the table. We were pleasantly surprised how quickly this was done, and how tasty it was. This was better than any other kind of pizza crust we have ever tried before. Pizza around here is a HUGE deal; it is probably eaten in some form or another at least weekly. It was a great lunch. The toddlers and big kids liked it, and sometimes it’s hard to find something that everyone likes.

There were no leftovers, and as moms, we all know this is a good sign. This is also something that just about anyone could do. If your kids are old enough to use the oven, they could make this for themselves after school, for lunch, or even dinner with a salad. I was impressed.

The next day I decided we were going to do the pita breads and tried to think of something to do with them without looking up recipes. I decided on egg sandwich melts. I scrambled a couple of eggs, added grated sharp cheddar to the pita halves, and added the egg inside.

What I did not plan on was a happy accident recipe that was not planned. My egg fell out of one of the halves of pita, so I put it in the pan with a bit of olive oil and made a pita grilled cheese sandwich! It was awesome! Soft and nice, not overly buttery and the taste were remarkable! The egg sandwich was good, but not as good as the grilled cheese on pita. It was grated cheese, a Stonefire Pita and some olive oil, tremendous.

We were having spaghetti with sausage this week for dinner so I took that opportunity to make cheese/garlic bread. For this, I used the garlic Stonefire Naan, which is an Indian style of flatbread, and put a bit of mozzarella on top put it in the oven until the cheese was melted and served it with my spaghetti dinner

. Everyone loved the light garlic flavor and found it to be a great compliment to the dinner.
