When you have a year when you are blessed with a beautiful new baby, you want to recognize the first’s for everything they do, from the first outfit they wear all the way to their first birthday.

The first Christmas is one of those things that you want to recognize as a momentous thing.  Some have pictures taken, some buy a special star for their tree and cute outfits, for me it was always a Baby’s First Christmas tree ornament.

I have kids from infants to adults and I have every one of their first ornaments, no matter how much I change the theme of the tree or the color scheme, those ornaments are always on my tree and they always will be, it is just a magical and special time to remember.  Every year when I get the ornaments outs, I always have to wipe a tear when I see those ornaments, they take me back to a time when they were so small and so innocent, having a new baby celebrating the special holiday season with you makes a magical time even more enchanted.

Reed and Barton sent me the most beautiful Baby’s First Christmas ornament for David, it is delicate and shimmery silver with little blue baby booties, I adore this ornament.  I think one of the best things about it, is that this ornament will match anything you decorate your tree with in the future.  This ornament Includes a year-marked white satin ribbon for hanging and is handcrafted in America.

  • Features hand-set SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS and enamel accents
  • Silver gift box with four-color sleeve includes flannel bag
  • Made in USA
  • H. 3 1/2″

Reed and Barton has been around for almost 200 years and they have some of the most beautiful things, from stemware, flatware, gifts and picture frames, they strive to make everyday things a little more beautiful for everyone.  I was so pleased to receive this ornament and have it for David every year.  I think it’s probably one of the most elegant , Baby’s First Christmas ornaments I have seen.  It even comes ready for being gifted.  You will not be disappointed in any of the products by Reed and Barton, make sure you check out their website for your gift giving needs, or even to find something exquisite for yourself.  Watch for the giveaway sponsored by Reed and Barton coming soon! I always buy my grandchildren a new ornament each year. One year when my son turned 16, I bought him a whole tree of purple, silver and gold ornaments and lights. He still uses it 10 years later.

My special ornament is the angel my mom gave me when I was 2.

I don’t have a single favorite. I have several that are very special to me, a few of them were from my first Christmas with my husband 23 years ago (they are ugly and were super cheap. I don’t even put them on the tree anymore, but keep them and remember that Christmas each year when I get all of my Christmas out)

Most of my ornaments I consider special. A lot of them my kids made for me.

I do have a several special ornaments. My fav one is a santa riding on the back of a flamingo. It came from Avon. I purchased it when our family moved to the sunshine state and we spent our first Christmas there away from our families.
