There are a lot of bottled water brands available to most consumers and it is sometimes the little things that bring out the differences in the water that you like the most. I find some are salty to me or taste like minerals and others just taste like my tap water so why bother.
I was recently sent a great bottled water to try called Waiakea Volcanic Water and the flavor profile was very unique. The water comes in 1L and 500ml sizes and it is in a great square blue-bottle. Waiākea is a young water that is constantly flowing and takes less than 30 days to arrive from where it originates on the Mauna Loa volcano. This makes this water taste fresh and pure like none I have tried before. Waiākea waters don’t have much time to absorb as many minerals, nor contaminants and therefore it lends it a light, crisp, and clean taste.
One of the things that I loved about the water and the company itself was that they take the environmental impact seriously. they use one of the most sustainable fresh water resources in the world and use only 100% RPET bottles.
They utilize low emission shipping and they are the first Hawaiian bottled water to be certified at CarbonNeutral. Some people do not like to drink bottled water because of the impact on the environment and I think that Waiakea has done a fantastic job at addressing these concerns.
I like that for every liter of Waiākea you buy, Waiākea donates 650 liters of clean water to those in need in Africa and throughout the world, through our incredible partner, PumpAid.org. They realize not everyone is able to have access to clean, essential, drinking water. They have a goal to change that. Waiākea’s charitable outreach is not limited to just Pump Aid and the world water crisis, however.
The best part is you can get this water all over the US and they have a great store locator at their website. You can also buy their water online and have it shipped directly.
If you love a clear fresh and clean tasting bottled water, the Waiakea’s Brand is one that you must try! I know having it filtered by a volcano was interesting to me and definitely made a difference in the taste for me.
